This might interest some of you. I know for a fact it made me reconsider my view of cannabis for the better.

Last weekend I did mushrooms (2.5 grams on Saturday, 3.5 grams on Sunday, had a tough time with low blood pressure as well, that feature always irritates me, everything turning dark the 2nd trip, it was only during the comedown that I realised the spirit of the mushroom that I knew and worship, Saturday was marvellous, and took the Sunday too easily from the moment of waking up, I tricked myself here had to pay a price for this to a certain extend). Yet again I realised why cannabis should be considered as a God of mother nature, it's utterly gentle and opens up parts of our mind that literally can save our world if we don't fear them. Everything can be readily processed since it softens the ego rather than it dissolves cognitive control.
Haven't had cannabis for about three weeks. Tomorrow I'm gonna do a gram in eggs, which will defintely get me to trip with a steady line of euphoria. Putting my feet up for a good 12 hours. Enjoying what exactly Sagan has written up there.
I'll stick with cannabis till March or something, that's when I'm shooting for my favorite entheogen ever, mescaline.
do eggs have the sufficient fat for holding the THC?

Yah, especially with butter, I usually shake 1 whole egg, add the weed and let it stay for about 20 minutes. Then cooking the egg (with butter added in the saucepan) slowly on the lowest level possible. It's just similar to a cake, except a cake takes more ingredients, time and preperation.
what you mean "shake an egg"? and "let it stay" stay where? in a bowl? i'd love to have a weed recipe that involved protein, would be good for someone who's fasting for the trip.Originally Posted by Brugmansia

cannabis is an entheogen too!

I meant shaking the egg so that the white and the yellow are mixed, after putting the weed in it, waiting 20 minutes because THC binds the best to animal fats and needs the time for it.
thought so, but was not 100% thanks

I want to take the time to thank OP again. I think this essay is very accurate in describing different positive effects of cannabis. I feel it is balanced a little too much in the positive direction, but not in an annoying way. I found it especially interesting to see that carl sagan quite accurately describes some of my own experiences while high.
you know i haven't read the essay even though i posted here hehe... but ya is really great.

indeed!! thanks for that!!

You are right that the essay feels a bit "biased" in the positive direction, but of course that is the intent of the author. The goal of the essay is not to present the effects of cannabis, but to focus on it's positive effects, to share the personal reasons for Mr. Sagan's use of it.
It is true that it is interesting to see that he, as a scientist, has had similar experiences to us with cannabis. However, what I found the most interesting in this essay are the ways in which his experience differ from my own. What's great about cannabis is that it is so versatile, and you can basically find new proprieties even after years of use. My own experiences with cannabis have somehow changed after reading the essay because it made me discover new ways of enjoying this plant. For example, he talks about how cannabis has helped him appreciate art in a way he never would have before, while he has tried using it to solve problems in his field of science and has succeeded. I am a film student who appreciates music a lot, and have used cannabis for the appreciation of art before, but had never thought of approaching it as a scientist. Now, I regularly contemplate scientific ideas while high, it's like a whole new world of reflection has opened its doors to me. Many of the most important and inspiring philosophical ideas I have had in the last few months were marijuana-induced illuminations. And, like Mr. Sagan said, they pass the test of sober scrutiny.
fascinating read from one of the great minds of the 20th century. much appreciated and will pass it on.
I gotta give props to the original post. I think this may become my default explanation of why I smoke cannabis. What a great find!
yeah, it is a good read.
funny, two years later and the egg is still one of my favorite ways to take cannabis.
