Thread: Bringing LSD Back!!!! Distribution , production etc

Hey guys, just found this forum today and heres my first post!!! I just wanted to talk about some ideas for "bringing LSD back". Back in the 60s LSD was so easy to get and it was WAY cheaper and WAY more powerful i feel like then it is nowadays, at least from what ive learned from research. I encourage people to do some research of the history of LSD in our culture and learn about the families as well as the distribution system set up by the Grateful Dead tours (im assuming most of you are already informed in these areas). But since then chemists have been getting caught and LSD is very hard to find in many areas and when it is found it is often expensive. We need LSD to make a comeback!!!!!!!!
LSD is such an amazing drug, it really needs to make its way back to the masses, doors can be opened my friends. But the question is how??? I'd love to get a discussion going where we throw around some ideas on how to bring this "drug" back to the way it used to be and beyond! Its a difficult task, production of LSD is a complicated task as you all know, you either have to have a very high degree in that field of chemistry or you have to have been passed down the knowledge from another chemist. Not only that, but distribution is also a key problem. What are some ways we can overcome these obstacles??? lets put on are minds together! :razz:

At first LSD was so available and clean/potent for the simple reason that it was... legal . After it became illegal, it got more and more difficult and it resulted in the apparition of new drugs with more or less similar effects, and so on.

But bringing it back ? Good luck

LSD for the masses can seems like a good idea but when you look at it deeper it's a bit scary no ?
Anyway lsd was always there in most big city.

Yeah DasFrog, but we can all agree no matter how many research chemicals are made, they can never stand up to true LSD. And maybe the "masses" isn't the best way to put it but i think you get the idea. Its available but god damn it seems to come and go and half the shit people sell ends up being some research chemical. I know the families have passed there knowledge down, but im just praying for some progress to be made soon in it all coming back. I realize itll probably never happen but i shall not give up in my efforts

todd u're right, acid must be brought back, and there's no other way to do it easier than give away for free (yes, invest with no financial payback [maybe]).

Tim may be wrong . My personal opinion is that you have to first offer it, putting the human into a yes/no position. One question, one answer, for good, without pushing at least one bit.

Also, have to confess, when i tried acid first time with my friend, first idea that came naturally during the first trip was to spread LSD into water-supply of every city

I\'ld like to offer my city up as first to experiment with this idea. You guys figure out how to spike the water supply, and I\'ll do a documentary on the effects across the city.

The hard part really is getting an ergot culture that produces the necessary chemicals (not all ergot cultures are active). Get a culture and a full chem lab setup and your pretty well golden. The instructions for the actual synthesis aren't very difficult to come by, it's the necessary culture that's a bitch and a half to find.

Not sure how this happened? I thought LSD died in when the Grateful Dead became a commercial circus. I was there in the middle 80's to early 90's and shortly after that time it burnt out. I always thought that natural forms of tripping were better, the people who made and distributed the LSD where in it for the profits rather than the pure intentions of the 60's movement. Still I would like to see it return I would not want to dump it in the water supply as it might appear from my post. I do think that many could benefit from the experience but perhaps lower dosage of mushrooms would be a better start.

How exactly would it have been more powerful in the 60s? What little I know about this era from Wikipedia, Erowid and other sources, they all seem to suggest that the standard dose was a little bigger than nowadays, but the stuff, LSD, must still be the same chemical it was back then.

I do agree with the idea of making it more available to the masses, but that means it had to be legalized or the prices and thus availability will not go down. At the moment the best way to get LSD accepted by the general population would be to make it available as medication for the mentally ill at first. But that sure isn't going to happen next week or even next year, probably not even next decade. So, I'm kinda pessimist on this front.

I have a feeling that LSD will never get to the point of acceptance that Cannabis has... Well, maybe, we were saying the same thing about cannabis not so long ago (1990s) and look where it is today?

So... A way to get LSD back and maybe even legalized, is to do a lot of research on it, and find some POSITIVE medical use, besides just being a psychedelic. Once you can do that, you have your foot in the door to have small amounts possibly OK'd in beverages perhaps and you'd get a stamp on your hand saying you had one, and have a limit on them. Sort of like what they do with absenth in England.

Aside from that, if there is no research done, and it isn't brought to public view, you aren't going to get it back and available to the masses.

Of course, you could be mean and just make a boatload and then hand it out for halloween.. That would be getting it out to the masses after all...

Although, here's a question for you... WHY do you want to get LSD back out to the masses? Isn't it better for you if the masses don't have it? I'm just curious as to motivation.

The side effects of LSD are way more intense than cannabis or even other drugs, so I can't see a huge benefit to making that available to the masses.... Not really a relaxant either.
