[Offtopic] moving to england

Postby trick » Sun Feb 07, 2010 19:19

Is there anything i should know about the culture of people my age(17) on the other side of the pond? what to expect ect.. im from florida. Also what about various prices ext..

Ide be best off bringing my own cigs also wouldnt i? lol

Where are some of the "in" places/things to do overthere?

here i have a big group of friends who all party together, is it like that over there? close knit friends?

also, around me, there is alot of gang activity, if i were to walk down the road wearing any blue in my area, ide get my ass beat. This is mostly blood territory, even in school. So would there be any warnings, like what and what NOT to do and what to look out for ext..

thanks in advance.

EDIT: Can this get moved to the lounge by a mod?

Not speaking from experience, but I've heard its pretty droll over there... Just uh... mmm. Well I'm pretty sure there is raves, I think the night life over there is a bit more classy, bit more about the town.

Just guessin...

Well Trick mate, I think you have little to worry about.

Dont think about it too hard and dont go out of your way to impress people, Be yourself and take people as you find them. London is a multi-cultural city, Fun and dangerous just like any other big city. It has its issues with gangs and such things but you only find what you look for...

In England at 17, No compulsive school (For you, but now in place for younger kids to stay till 18), You are just legal age to drive and you may own your own home. One more year and you can go out to night clubs, pubs and buy alcohol legally.

You should be fine mate :)
Peace out, Stay safe

why did you choose england? I guess your parents move there for work?
there are better places to move to if you ask me, with better climate. I'd go crazy up there with the weather that they are having ;)

Alcohol is 18 here.

Communities are organised like everywhere else - there will be closed groups of friends and various scenes, especially in cities.

I live in Scotland, not too far away. London is such a big city, I have been there plenty - there are good parts and bad. Prices are like everywhere - they will charge what they think you will pay.

Good luck!
