We all know what happened.The relations with Russians and West were not so good before the Georgia conflict. Now,Miedwiediew and Bush are threating each other,and the word "cold war" is used probaly in every interview. I dont know if you guys heard about it but Poland now is also a target for russian nukes. Our goverment signed a deal with US to put something called "anti-rocket shield" on our territory(the same thing with Czech Republic). It is supposed to be used against "terrorists" from Iran. I mean wtf people,what Poland and Iran have in common?People were against it,but after the conflict in Georgia moods changed and goverment decided to take advantage of it.

What are your opinions about it?

There cant be a war , nobody would win and both sides are to dependant on each other anyway . We are just going to see a slow game of chess , a concequence of the fall of the USA and the rise of russia and china . A lot of it is for the same reason that we had the last cold war and the war on islam . Divide and rule . Scare and confuse the people and then make them work more for lesss and raise taxes .

I also think there is no chance for the war. The potential of each side is too big. But are that kind of moves towards russians really necessary? Just look at Georgia. Sakashwili felt save with his Western allies and support of president Bush. So he invaded Osetia and Abhasia thinking there will be no consequences. He was obviously wrong.

The conflicts in Georgia, Iran, Iraq are (partially at least) palpatations (does this word exist???) of West and East. Each tries to get to the limit and goes a tiny bit over the limit to see the reactions of the other.

Personally I see the nukes in Poland as a frivolty but objectively the reason for it is just to say:"See, we are ready, we have the nukes and we are ready to use them". THat the nukes are (more than partially) a message for Russia is evitable.

A second cold war? It has never ended...Anti East/West propaganda was made without break. There is an intensification of the situation but there won't be a war. Too risky. And if, then not in the next 10 years: USA has large inner Problems and Russia is still developing.

It's a game, a game for money and power, but still a game of little Children wanting to play Chess.

They didnt invade either . You cant invade your own country . Russia invaded and is ocupying georgia .

They are still ocupying both of those georgian provinces and parts of georgia .

If it came to a real war between russia and the USA the russians would get wiped out in a few minutes . Their army , intelligence and wepons are shit , old shit . The backbone of the russian atomic attack potential is theis submarines and the amis know exactly where they all are . The russians dont have the technology the amis do . The amis might loose millions but they would survive .

They are not independant they have been anexed and are being ocupied by the russians .

The russian weapons are all old . They dont have the intelligence ( = information ) or the technology that the US does . For nuclear weapons to hit a target they have to be fired and not be shot down . = The russians might fire a few..... from russia = it takes a long time to reach the US . The US have enough space technology to see whats happening and from where and shoot many of the russian weapons down . All the russian submarines are permanently watched . They have no new technology on them and are VERY loud . The US has killer submarines within a few meters of the russian submarines and can destroy them in seconds...... before they can launch their weapons .

Then think about how many russian tanks and airoplanes the georgian army destroyed in a few days with shity old backward weapons . Compair that to the amount of tanks and airoplanes the amis have lost in 2 iraq wars , and afghanistan . Then compaire the way the russians attacked georgia and the way the amis did it with iraq .

I don't know how many tanks were destroyed in Georgia/Iraq...but it's true that US military investitions are highest on the globe.

But on the other hand: a "WWIII" won't happen today/next year. Russia is fast developping and the US must keep waging wars or its military industry will collapse (or inner problems will explode). China is developing hardcore, India as well and the EU, well the EU exists too, but in a nuclear war they will probably be wiped away by a nuclear bomb the US has accidentally miscalculated (how they are used to e.g. in Iraq) and well I hope I will then sit peacefully in Hawaii and have a nice drink.

Americas a setting sun . If it came to normal warfare the russians would zap them . The amis are fat , lazy , stuoid and cowards that hide behind a wall of lead and attack from a distance . Remember who saved europe from hitler and won the 2nd world war........... russia . When it comes to real fighting the amis send the brits and hide behind them . Who trains the best american soldiers ?...... the brits .

Happy about what you say about WWII (not being patriotic,but these are facts...).

It is a setting sun, but when will it go under...and how? Will it be the oil to blast the last bullet or the banking system? Or just bankrupt? Or will they just stowly lose influence and stay as an unimportant but still large country?

Yes . In a few years the majority of the population will be of spanish origins and americas first language will be spanish . The question / problem will be what are the ruling mafia behind the US government going to do and how paranoid will their strategy be = Dr.Stranglove ??? A bunch of paranoid maniacs with swollen egos and nuclear weapons on a sinking ship .
