Hello Psychonauts!

I'm pleased to be here. Some of you might recognize my handle, as I was an active "Hive bee" back in those days. I'm not making honey any longer, not since about 2002 in fact, but I still love the subject of chemistry and look forward to asking questions and discussing it.

I do hope to get conversations going with members here. I have been on dmt-nexus.com and mycotopia.net for a while, but for some reason the guys on there just wouldn't respond to me enough even though my questions were fairly intelligent and well formed. It was disappointing. But I have a good feeling about this board! I look forward to some good exchanges with you all, and with other ex-hivebees in particular.

I'm sure you'll enjoy being here. I can't vouch for all the sub forums as I only use this one and maybe a couple of others on the odd occasion but in my two yrs here its always been a very friendly place full of people that are very patient with newbees and more than willing to help out.

I'm sure you'll be recognising some old freinds from the hive... I was sadly not around then. I really feel like I missed something epic there. Every now and again I'll hear a story from older bees about the site though which always interesting.

Hi IWGT, you're right, I do have a few PMs but when I went to look at them, the site said "you are not authorized to read PMs" or a phrase very similar.

I don't know whether this is a site rule based on my being a very new member, or if it is a side effect of my going through a proxy...? So if anyone knows why that's happening, please let me know (on the board, not in PM obviously! )

To those who sent PMs, if you read this (hope you will), as soon as I can get to them I'll respond. Thanxz

the pm thing, i think was introduced becase of spammers/idiots making a name up n annoying mods/peeps, you have to make a few posts before pm function works. nice writeups btw from back in the day, (al/hg springs to mind) i enjoyed the learning!

Thank badpup... do you know how many posts are needed before I can get to the PMs? I hope it's not 50 or something like that.

I guess I'd better poke around the other forums and see if I can find the answer. I've been in the synthetics forum practically the whole time here so far... EDIT: I found it, it's 20 posts, which is reasonable enough.

Time to get busy posting 12 times of meaningless slop so I can get to PMs (just kidding )
