Want to try Salvia ? Read this first !

Hello everyone, and especially to those who are new to this wonderful plant-teacher, the Salvia Divinorum.

This plant is wonderful, but also extremely powerful (powerful like I-blow-you're-mind-in-half-a-second-making-you-wondering-wtf-is-going-on) and should NOT (and I repeat, NOT) be taken lightly.

Thusfore, I'll these small advices to any new comer Sally's world :

    1) Read this : http://sagewisdom.org/usersguide.html

This is actually the best guide about Lady Salvia at the moment, and should be read with extreme attention, it gives plenty of really useful informations, informations that could makes the difference between heaven and hell during your first trip (and that includes to have a sitter !) .

    2) Do NOT think you are able to imagine what will happen to you during your first trip because you read alot of trip reports, Salvia is know to be a totally different experience for every individual who tries it (excepted for a few little things who seems to appear in several trip reports).

Beware, Salvia is not something to be took without any respect for the plant !

But if you manage to respect those few rules, you're likely to make some wonderful trips, the Lady Salvia has really a lot of marvellous things to teach you !

Enjoy, and welcome on this forum !

    Maybe 3:

The Mazatec use Salvia traditionally but only outside the mushroom season. They prefer mushrooms because with Salvia sometimes people don't return

Re: Want to try Salvia ? Read this first !

I've done this twice, twice my dose was on the light side, mainly because the first hit i took did not go all that well... I was with a friend, who was gonna make sure i wasn't going to do anything stupid... So i filled the pretty glass pipe i got from a friend and lit it up... at first i felt relaxed and kind of woozy, then i saw what appeared to be some energy floating around in the room (it's color was golden, it was sort of a golden mist) it passed through the room till it got to my friend, there it dissapeared and immediately i started feeling a strong discomfort that i could not get rid of. I had to go to my own room (my friend and i lived in the same house on different floors) where i could not sit in my couch, my chair, nowhere, i kept feeling some sort of "unruhe" (don't know a good english word for it, but this kind of sums it up) so i craweled in my bed where i fell asleep, about twenty minutes later i woke up (i did not dream, at least not that i know of) and i felt better, for wich i was quite gratefull...

I've always thought that my friend, who at the time was rather depressed, reflected some sort of negativity back at me, but i'm not sure how and if this is possible, anyway, i took one small hit some time later with some random person that i met in a bar, i did not break through and again it left me feeling rather uneasy, haven't tried it since, but i might someday, when the time, and the setting (including the people surrounding me) are right, i've yet to come across the time and place that feels right to try this again, i think i rushed in to it too soon, i had little experience and did not know what to expect, so, for anyone who wishes to have a beautiful experience on salvia, make sure you surround yourself with love and know what you're are getting into!
